The Boston Globe has named A Labyrinth of Kingdoms one of 2012’s eleven best books of nonfiction, putting it in some distinguished company. I’m honored.

Congratulations on the Globe selection, Steve. A very nice feather in your cap. Now we wanna see a sales spike!
Thanks, Tom–and best of luck with your forthcoming book.
Good news for you Steve – Contratulations! Very sorry I can’t get an ebook here…
Thanks, Diana.
Hi Steve. Congratulations on the selection, that’s great! I was just thinking about your blog yesterday, knowing you were in a few of the places making the news these days. NPR did a long segment yesterday on what’s happening in Mali with the French troops. I’m sure you’re following it all, sad as it is. A good thing you decided to write the book when you did!
Thanks, Jerry. Yes, the West is finally noticing Mali, so the story has moved from way inside to page 1. Once again the French are fighting the Tuaregs. As before, I doubt that the fight will be brief.
Awesome Big Bro! That is fantastic news and quite an honor. I’m glad I could pass on some of my literary genius to you.
I’m so grateful, which is why I taught you all about stained glass.
Congratulations on the honor the Boston Globe gave you. That is great.
Congratulations from a mother isn’t bad either.
